Anti-Microbial Coated Armored Hose for Biofouling Prevention
Armored Hoses
Armored Hoses have built-in wear-resistant steel rings. They are especially designed for harsh working conditions, such asconveying sharp and hard materials like coral reefs, weathered rocks, ore, etc. for which ordinary dredging hoses can notwithstand for very long. Armored Hoses are suitable for conveying angular, hard and large particles.
Armored Hoses are widely used, mainly in supporting pipeline of dredgers or on the cutter ladder of the Cutter SuctionDredger(CSD). Armored hoses are one of the main products of CDSR.
Armored Hoses are suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 60℃, and suitable for conveying mixtures ofwater(or seawater), silt, mud, clay and sand, ranging in specific gravity from 1.0 g/cm³ to 2.3 g/cm³, especially suitable forconveying gravel, flaky weathered rock and coral reefs.
Structure and Material
An Armored Suction and Discharge Hoses are composed of lining, wear-resistant steel rings, reinforcing plies, outer coverand hose fittings(or sandwich flanges) at both ends. Usually the material of the wear-resistant steel ring is alloy steel.

Hose Types

Two fitting types are available for the Armored Suction and Discharge Hose, Steel Nipple Type, and Sandwich Flange Type.
Compared with the Steel Nipple Type, the Sandwich Flange Type has better bending performance, and is more suitable forapplications with limited installation space.

The Armored Floating Hose is mainly applied in the floating pipeline connected to the stern of dredgers in dredging operating.Under normal circumstances, Armored Floating Hoses can be connected to form an independent floating pipeline which hasgood conveying capacity. The CDSR Armored Floating Hoses have been widely used in dredging operation sites in UAE,Qinzhou-China, Lianyungang-China and other places around the world.

Dredging Hose

Finally, Bow Blowing Hoses are specifically deployed for direct connection to barges or vessels, enabling precise sediment placement during discharge operations. The visualization clearly highlights how each hose type – from sinking intake to floating transport to specialized discharge – is optimally positioned to handle depth variations, seabed topography, buoyancy requirements, connection challenges, and the final placement of dredged material, ensuring efficient and effective sediment transfer throughout the system.
